Trans-friendly areas in Cambridge

I'd like to build this section into a practical resource listing trans-friendly GPs, clothes shops, beauty salons, unisex toilets, and so on. I'll start with the listed subsections: please email me if you think of any more appropriate subsections, and if you know of trans-friendly establishments in Cambridge. I'll start by listing a few elsewhere as well!

A group in Birmingham have created a comprehensive list here - I have in mind something like this!

GPs and other medical practitioners

- Pink Therapy ( http://www.pinktherapy.co.uk/ ) is a directory of over 300 LBGT-friendly private counsellors nationwide, many of whom are specialists in gender identity.

Clothes shops and beauty salons

- Marks and Spencer are said to train their staff to deal with transgender customers with sensitivity and understanding - says this excellent general resource:

- I'm told that Long Tall Sally in Brighton is trans-friendly, and it has clothes specifically for taller people.

- Sara Thomas is an electrologist specialising in hair removal for transgender people. She works privately from her home in London, and also in conjunction with the Charing Cross Gender Identity Clinic. I've met her - she's very friendly and approachable!

- Chest binders: can be bought online from T-Kingdom and Underworks.

Unisex toilets.

I hope to eventually combine input into a map of Cambridge city centre with markers on unisex toilets.

- TransYouth (part of the Queer Youth Network) have a map of gender-neutral toilets in the UK.
