I wrote this resource in 2009 and 2010 and intend to continue to edit and add to it.
In writing resources such as this, and in my work more generally, I try to be as effective an ally as I can. I do get things wrong quite often, and am open to my mistakes being pointed out and to receiving constructive feedback. Many thanks to the people who have provided help, advice and corrections so far.
It is not the job of members of marginalised groups to educate people with privilege, and I am very grateful to those people with far more first-hand knowledge of transgenderism than myself for their generosity in educating me, their openness in conversations and their patience.
