CUSU LBGT Awareness Week is the main event of the LBGT calendar in Cambridge. It will run from Saturday 30th January - Sunday 8th February. We have an exciting line-up, which is packed full of amazing events including talks on Islam and homosexuality, LBGT history month, asexuality and being gay in the workplace. Speakers include Pav Akhtar, who became the first non-white CUSU President and one of the editors of Diva magazine. We have speakers coming from places ranging from the Church of England to Google! Alongside that, we have speed dating, a radio show and our popular Pre-Rendezvous party.
The idea behind the week is to increase awareness of LBGT issues amongst all Cambridge students. It's a chance for everyone (gay or straight) to celebrate diversity, meet new people, and just have fun! Please bring along loads of your friends to all the amazing events listed below...
